College Ruled

I've been a sticker making fool for the last few days.  I made these little stickers that fit perfectly in my Erin Condren daily boxes to keep track of all my school assignments and they are working beautifully!  Of course you can use them for whatever your little heart desires but my intention was to create something that would make my school assignments stand out in my weekly spread.  I've added a border to the pdf file for ease of cutting but on my actual sticker sheets there is no border around the mini pieces of lined paper.  Feel free to download and print.

This download is for personal use only!  No you can't sell them, no you can't mass produce them, no you can't claim them as your own.  Be respectful of the time it took me to create these and don't be shady!

Color Coding Tear Drops

I've spent most of the day test cutting these color coding tear drops on sticker paper.  Unfortunately it's taking more tweaking and wasting more sheets that I'd like to admit.  I don't know why I thought it would be easy...nothing ever is when it comes to my creative endeavors...ugh!

So for now I'll go ahead and share the pdf since my IG account has gotten several messages asking where I got the actual file.  I did create this file and these tear drops are NOT as big as the Martha Stewart color coding stickers, I don't think.  I don't have any to compare them to but I think they are a bit smaller.  Feel free to print these out, cut them by hand (that's sort of a pain) or use your fancy silhouette to do it for you.

Again; the fine print-

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting

The suspense is killing me!  I should know better than to stalk my account on EC but honestly I just can't wait.  Patience has never been a virtue of mine!  I know it's not even estimated to ship until next Friday but I keep hoping I'm going to see it shipped sooner.  I had a terrible dream about my planner last night, yes indeed I had a planner dream last night.  In my dream it arrived with the wrong cover and in a very small padded envelope and the only pages included were the month at a glance pages and there were sticky notes all over it that appeared to be from the department that puts your planner together.  OMG Apparently I'm obsessing over this planner a little too much.  I think I need therapy haha!

I plan today to make lots, and lots of inserts and stickers for my soon to be here planner.  I have a busy month already and I'm so tired of the little planner that I'm currently using and not being able to test my new planner goodies in it because it's not the right size.  Again, frustrations come from my impatience!  I need a lesson on how to be patient, really I do.

In the mean time; creating stuff seems to get me through.  I'm currently working on color coding stickers much like the Martha Stewart tear drop stickers found at Staples.  First of all I'm cheap (did I mention it took me over a year to break down and purchase an EC life planner?!), second of all I'm not in love with the colors that come in the pack.  So I am in the midst of creating my own:  Here's a peek.  I'm not sold on the colors yet but lucky for me I get to change them whenever I want ;)

I am also not sold on the tear drop shape but that seems to be the "in thing" so for now I'll go with it.  I also haven't decided if I'm going to use repositionable sticker sheets or permanent sheets because I honestly don't often move things once they are in my planner.  Let's face it, if I did I would never get anything done.

Today I plan on testing out my print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo and see if all my dreams will truly come true.  I'll let you know.  Until then,

Happy planning!

Stickers for your weekly spread

While I've been waiting anxiously for my planner to show that it's no longer "pending" I decided to create some planner beauty so that when it get's here, I can dive right in and start decorating.  Now in the spirit of full disclosure, I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to decorating my planner.  I like to see cute pages but at the same time, I don't want it to look like a junk journal.  That's just my personal preference.  I like to see a full page with stuff I'm doing, need to do, etc. but I'm also not so busy that every day of every week it going to have writing and appointments, check lists, and the like so placing a sticker on a day to fill up a block is something that will fill it up but also look cute.  So I created some stickers to fit inside of the daily blocks.  Of course since I don't have my planner in my hot little hands yet, I have to assume they will fit perfectly based on my countless internet searches and design skills.  I haven't yet purchased sticker paper either so this is all an assumption that these babies are going to work.  They are the right size according to the internet (and of course the internet never lies, right?!).  I can't claim the images because I found every single on of them on google images and I claim no rights to any of them.  In fact the rights belong to each individual who posted them and I wish I would have copied the links so that I could give credit where credit is due but in my hurried haste I did not take the time to do so...sorry rightful owners!  My plan is to use my fancy Silhouette Cameo to cut these out so I don't have 25 little stickers floating around and so that I can keep them in a folder all on one sheet.  I'll let you know how that goes when I get around to pulling out my Cameo and testing it.  But until then I'll post the .pdf file for you all to download and use.

I feel it is my duty to tell you all the fine print:

Waiting, waiting, waiting

I finally took the plunge and decided I needed an Erin Condren Life Planner in my life.  I didn't make this decision lightly, I've been contemplating it for over a year and on Sunday I finally got out my wallet and ordered myself this beauty:

Of course the turn around time for these is nothing short of a very. long. wait.  but I know it will be totally worth it.  It's not even due to ship until October 17th (which feels like a lifetime away) and then I'm sure it will then take another few days to arrive in my hot little hands which may have no fingernails left after biting them off in anticipation.  Patience is not my strength but I'm learning...ok no I'm not, I'm a big fat liar!

To try to hold me over until then I decided to start figuring out what I want in my planner.  You know, stickers and fun stuff like that.  I've scoured the internet over the years and have favorite places I like to shop and of course through the magic of Instagram, I've found even more amazing online stores and shops that cater to my love of all things planners! I'll start a little linky party to the side so you too can ooooh and ahhhhh over the amazing-ness that is this planner addicts weakness!

Now I am a bit of an amateur designer and have also started creating my own accessories for my planners.  Ok, I've been doing that for years but I'm a little more into it now-a-days so I'll definitely be posting downloads and links to cool stuff (at least I think it's cool) I make for my planner so you can be cool too ;)

Starting a blog is a little scary, I have no idea what i'm doing but I'm going to give it a go and hopefully make some amazing new friends who will share their planning ways with me and we can totally geek out over paper together!

Stay tuned!

Happy Planning
